The Sarasota Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association-Florida will hold their 10th Annual Photo All-Release Challenge fishing tournament on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at the Holiday Inn Airport-Marina, 7150 N. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota. The fishing tournament’s unique format features spin and fly anglers competing against each other with identical boxes of lures or flies. All fish (snook, trout and redfish) are photographed and released to fight another day. Proceeds of the tournament will benefit the Coastal Conservation Association.
A mandatory anglers’ meeting will be held Friday evening, April 22. Anglers should pre-register since last year’s event was a sell out. Check-in begins at 6:00 P.M. followed by the anglers’ meeting at 7:30 P.M. Hors d’oeuvres will be served during the meeting (no dinner on Friday evening). Fishing hours on Saturday are from 6 A.M. to 3 P.M., followed by an awards dinner at 6:30 P.M. The cost is $85 per angler for adults and $30 for youth anglers 15 and under. Non-angler participation will be $20.00 Friday evening and $30.00 for the Saturday Awards Banquet. Anglers will compete for awards and prizes in grand slam, angler, fly, ladies and youth divisions. There will also be a raffle and a silent auction with many great prizes and fishing items.
