Worm Rx

worm_rx.jpg
I keep seaworms and bloodworms fresh for up to 30 days by rinsing them for two or three minutes in salt water, then packing them in their original seaweed bedding in a large, flat, plastic container with a perforated cover. I think the new salt water is full of oxygen and nutrients that re-energize the worms. I turn the container over every few days, which gives the worms some “exercise,” and repeat the rinsing process after fishing or, if the worms are not used, about once a week.- Anthony J.
