Photo: Courtesy of Minerva Saenz| Fifteen-year-old Sara Hayward of Nacogdoches, Texas, caught a pending IGFA All-Tackle world-record wahoo earlier this summer. While fishing with her father aboard the Pez Espada II off Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Hayward hooked up with the colossal 184-pound ‘hoo on a Mean Joe Green vinyl-skirted lure.

When Hayward saw the fish come alongside the boat, she screamed, “It’s big!” — somewhat of an understatement, considering that, pending IGFA approval, her fish would crush the current all-tackle record of 158 1/2 pounds.
