Stripers Forever, a web-based organization dedicated to making the striped bass a game fish, is using donations to finance and promote a study that will illustrate the social, economic, and conservation advantages of making striped bass off-limits to commercial fishing. According to the organization, everyone who makes a donation to this study – individual, company, club or other organization – will be listed in the front of the document. Donations will also help to cover the expenses of promoting and disseminating the study to appropriate policy-makers and the media, and help bring an end to commercial fishing for wild striped bass.
