Tube Job

st_tip1_165x150.jpg

Whenever I want a little extra something for my metal jig or spoon, I add the tail from a soft-plastic tube lure. Cut off the tip of the tube lure, saving just enough of the body to cover the treble hook shank, yet leave the hook eye clear to keep from disturbing the lure’s natural action. I prefer four- to five-inch tube lures intended for fresh water. Red is my favorite color because it gives the appearance of trailing blood and guts.
