Three-Ways Better Than One

three_ways.jpg

This homemade three-way swivel is dependable and easier to use than the store-bought variety. I attach a pair of heavy-duty swivels, such as black Berkley McMahon 5/0s, to each other via a stainless-steel split-ring, such as a Hyper-Wire 170-pound-test (#5196-094). I tie the dropper leader from my weight or heavy lure to one swivel, the long leader from my smaller lure to the other swivel. Then I attach the split ring itself to the ball-bearing swivel clip on the end of my main line.
