Striped Bass Report Sent to Congress

National Marine Fisheries and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service have completed the 2001 Striped Bass Studies – Biennial Report to Congress, as mandated by the 1997 reauthorization of the Atlantic Striped Bass Conservation Act. The most recent stock assessment indicated that striped bass stocks are at high levels of abundance and are supporting increased landings, primarily in the recreational fisheries.
