Many smaller center console boats don’t offer an anchor locker with brackets to secure the hook. Since my boat falls into this category, I needed a way to prevent the metal anchor from damaging the gelcoated storage area. I took two tennis balls and made a small X incision in each. I then placed the cut tennis balls over each end of the anchor stock to guard the gelcoat against any dents or dings.
