Ryan Morie and Tyler Wald put South Florida’s fishery to the test onboard their Ranger 2600, targeting a mix of pelagic and nearshore species. Day one produced mahi-mahi and bonito on live sardines and pilchards, with blackfin tuna soon taking center stage after the team switched to slow-pitch jigging. Day two delivered again, highlighted by Tyler’s personal-best king mackerel and Ryan’s surprise giant mutton snapper, hooked mid-retrieve over a wreck. Then action shifted inshore, where the crew connected with a school of hard-fighting snook, all released in prime condition. From offshore pelagics to inshore bruisers, the team showcased the range of gamefish that South Florida offers.
