In early May, our team visited Cabo to explore the Sea of Cortez, a world-renowned haven teeming with an incredible diversity of marine life. Hosted by the luxurious Onda estate, creators Ryan Morie and Tyler Wald spent several days fishing and exploring Cabo’s stunning coastal waters onboard a 42’ Yellowfin. Day one was action-packed, with the team landing over 30 yellowfin tuna on poppers. On day two, they shifted to the rocky shorelines and sandy beaches, pitching live bait and lures to target roosterfish. The highlight came on day three when Ryan and Tyler each caught and released their first striped marlin, earning the honor of “walking the plank.” From the gourmet meals crafted by a private chef to the attentive staff and amenities like a private UTV for beach exploration, every detail was impeccable. With breathtaking oceanfront views, the Onda estate provided the perfect backdrop for an epic fishing adventure on the Sea of Cortez.

Tyler Wald is a full-time content creator born and raised in Miami, Florida. Tyler has known from the age of 5 that fishing is his undeniable passion. After spending his 20s working sales jobs he decided to take a leap of faith and pursue that passion in hopes of creating a fulfilling career. He now creates a diverse array of fishing content showcasing his adventures on the water both local and abroad!

Ryan Morie is a full-time content creator based out of southeast Florida. After graduating from the University of Florida, Ryan served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. During his time on active duty he was able to document some outstanding fisheries near the bases on which he served. He now creates a wide variety of fishing content that documents both local and international adventures.
