Rigging with Electrical Wire

02_01_2.jpg

The next time you need wire for rigging baits, take a look in your garage or workshop-you may already have all you need. Take a 6″ length of 14-gauge electrical wire and strip off 5 1/2″ of the insulation. This reveals the slender but relatively strong copper-wire strands that work great for rigging small, fragile baits or for situations where you want the wire to break after the strike. When you need a strand, simply hold the wire by the remaining insulation and slide one strand out.
