President Meets with Angling Groups

President George W. Bush invited representatives from the American Sportfishing Association (ASA) and the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA), among other sportsmen’s groups, to meet with him at his ranch in Crawford, Texas, this spring. CCA Chairman Walter Fondren III said, “This summit was a unique opportunity to discuss several conservation concerns with the administration from a diverse set of perspectives.” Mike Nussman, president and CEO of the ASA, also noted that “this is the first time fishing leaders have been invited to the home of a President, showing we’re making headway in raising the profile of the sportfishing community and its role in recreation and conservation.” For more information, visit www.asafishing.org. or www.joincca.org..
