Plum Island Surfcasters Feature Frank Daignault on February 28th

February 2004

Well-known surf writer Frank Daignault will present two slide lectures on Saturday, February 28 at the Newbury Firemen’s Hall on Morgan Avenue. The doors will open at 9:00am and Frank’s first discussion will begin at 10:00am. He will address “The Trophy Striper” and the population dynamics of big striped bass and the issues that relate to the specialized fishing for dream fish. His second lecture will enumerate the “Ten Mistakes” made by surfcasters that keep them out of the winner’s circle. Between lectures, he will be fielding questions on surfcasting and striper issues. His charming wife Joyce of 47 years, with him everywhere he goes, will take up the slack in audience interest. Joyce says, “You can come in and meet Frank or spend your life knocking your brains out fishing wrong in the poorest places the way we once did.” For more information, visit plumisland.surfcaster.com/fund_raiser2004.htm.
