To get the anchor out of the way on my small boat, I mounted two stainless steel hooks on the side and just above the deck and two small loop cleats above the hooks. Each end of the anchor stock — the bar at the base of the anchor — slips into the bend of a hook. A bungee cord holds the anchor vertically, so it’s handy but not underfoot.
