Government Asks for Angler Input on Marine Protected Areas

The National Marine Fisheries Service, the National Ocean Service and the National Sea Grant College Program will hold a meeting in Florida in February to deliberate the evolving use of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs). The meeting will provide a focused forum for recreational fishermen to evaluate the impact of MPAs on the quality of marine angling, with the goal of producing a formal document spelling out the stance of the recreational fishing community on the issue.
