Shakespeare’s new Freeliner spinning reels make it possible to fish natural baits in free-spool with the bail in the closed position. Additionally, you can precisely adjust the spool tension in the free-spool mode to prevent the bait from taking line. When you’re ready to set the hook, the main drag can be engaged by flipping the free-spool lever at the base of the reel. All Freeliner reels feature 3 ball bearings, a machined aluminum spool, a lightweight graphite frame, and 6-disc drag system. Models range from a 15.9 oz. model that holds 180 yrds. of 10 lb. test up to a 30 oz. model that holds 220 yrds. of 20 lb. test. Suggested retail price is $59.95.
