Heavy-duty freezers and ice chests from Frigid-Rigid Incorporated are built from fiberglass and gelcoat, just like a boat. Thick foam insulation – 2″ on ice chests and 3″ on freezers – and a positive, ring-groove rubber air-tight seal keep ice 4 to 5 times longer than other coolers. The ice chests range in size from 62 to 291 quarts and sell for $325 to $780, while the freezers hold from 2.4 to 6.4 cubic feet and sell for $1,450 to $2,600. All coolers and ice chests feature corrosion-proof molded-fiberglass hinges and non-skid, non-marring bottom pads. Frigid-Rigid Inc., Fort Myers, FL; (800) 643-1988; www.frigidrigid.com.
