Mitchell Full Runner Spinning Reels

mitchell.jpg
Mitchell has expanded its line of Full Runner salt water spinning reels with the addition of the 4000 and 6500 Sport models. Full Runner reels allow baits to be fished in free-spool with the bail in the closed position. A special knob allows the angler to dial-in the precise amount of spool tension needed to keep the bait from taking line. After a fish has picked up the bait, the angler engages the drag by flipping a lever on the reel body. Other Full Runner features include 4-bearing drive, instant anti-reverse, aluminum spool with stainless-steel lip and front drag adjustment. The Sport 4000 has a gear ratio of 4.9:1 and will hold 140 yds. of 10 lb. monofilament, while the 6500 has a 4.6:1 gear ratio and will hold 165 yds. of 14 lb. mono. Both models retail for $75.
