| Minn Kota has introduced two useful and innovative features on select models of its Riptide line of salt water electric trolling motors. The new 3X steering feature allows the user to maneuver more quickly by turning the lower unit 3 degrees for every one degree the tiller is rotated. This means the direction of the motor can be turned a full 180 degrees by turning the tiller just 60 degrees – great for maneuvering in strong current or rough conditions. The other new feature is the Tilt/Extend Tiller, which allows the tiller to be extended an additional 5″ (from 7.5″ to 12.5″), and the entire tiller head to be tilted upwards 20 degrees to provide considerably more range and convenience of operation.
