Terrafin Software Sea Surface Temperature Service creates full-color, detailed images of sea-surface temperatures for specific regions, then makes them available to subscribers online. The service, called SST-View, gives users access to 1.1 km data from NOAA polar-orbiting satellites, improved with an overlay of reference points, bottom contours and a lat/lon grid. The service uses a proprietary software system to help create the charts and delivers images of the East Coast, Gulf Coast, Florida coast, West Coast, Baja and the Sea of Cortez and more via the Internet. The company uses a rating system of one to five stars so the user can gauge the reliability and usefulness of a chart. All subscribers get access to all the charts on the service and the first one-year subscription to the service sells for $95, with renewal subscriptions selling for $85.
