The HT50 handheld VHF is a compact radio offering all the power, functions and reliability of a larger, more expensive VHF. The HT50 was designed to perform during emergency situations. All buttons are large so they can be easily operated with bulky gloves, and the waterproof cover will withstand immersion to one meter. Other features include 54 international channels, plus 16 channels for particular countries and commercial use. The radio’s five-watt transmission power can also be reduced to one watt in order to extend battery life. Simrad, Lynnwood, WA; (425) 778-8821
