The SI-TEX Neptune iGPS offers WAAS technology in a charting system designed to fit a small-boat budget. The unit’s 12-channel GPS receiver has the WAAS correction built in for easy charting and navigation right on the 6″ monochrome LCD screen. Two C-MAP NT C-Card slots give the user the cartography to go anywhere, while multi-function “soft” keys and an on-screen cursor make it easy to select the desired view and mode. The Neptune iGPS’s split-screen capability displays both graphic chart and textual navigation data. The unit has a man-overboard feature and selectable units for depth, distance and speed, and the memory to store 1,000 track plots and 25 reversible routes. The Neptune iGPS comes with SI-TEX’s two-year limited warranty and sells for $999. SI-TEX, St. Petersburg, FL; (727) 576-5734; www.si-tex.com.
