The ICOM HM-127 Commandmic is a handheld add-on to the ICOM IC-M502 VHF radio. The Commandmic permits remote control of radio functions from another location – simply run a wire from the radio and mount the jack wherever radio access is desired. The Commandmic has simple control keys and a large, backlit LCD display with alphanumeric channel identification that is easy to read in all light conditions. Dispensing with the need to have multiple radios aboard, the Commandmic comes with a 19.8′ cable and a non-invasive, flush-mounted connection plug with rain cap. Available in black or white, the Commandmic sells for $164.50 and comes with a three-year waterproof warranty. ICOM, Bellevue, WA; (425) 454-8155; Fax (425) 454-1509; www.icomamerica.com.
