comnav.jpg

The ComNav 1101 Autopilot offers two outputs, one to provide heading information to most radar, chart plotter, loran and GPS units and one that uses proprietary Furuno AD 10S language to interface with Furuno navigation instruments. The unit has backlit knobs and simple push buttons that allow the user to program the unit easily and quickly. The ComNav 1101 Autopilot automatically compensates for deviations in fluxgate compasses and uses special software to recalibrate the unit and maintain proper rudder position. The 1101 comes with control and signal-processing units and a distribution box, as well as all connection cables and a fluxgate compass or a standard sensor for a magnetic compass. Suggested retail is $2,048. ComNav, Richmond, BC, Canada; (604) 207-1600; fax (604) 207-8008; www.comnav.com.
