Since most VHF antennas get in the way on flats boats, skiffs and small center consoles, Shakespeare has introduced a small, durable answer for effective VHF communications on such vessels. Specifically designed for applications requiring short overall length, Shakespeare’s Galaxy 3dB antenna (style 5415) delivers high performance in a rugged, low-profile package.

The half-wave, end-fed antenna features a durable all-black finish and a helical design that prevents excessive whipping action. A unique, solderless connector at the base of a stainless-steel whip allows for easy installation and removal, to the point that you can take the 2-foot antenna off while casting a net or fly rod, then replace it when under way.

The Shakespeare Galaxy 5415 antenna boasts a power input up to 50 watts, which will provide long-lasting service. Shakespeare includes a PL-259 connector, an L bracket and 20 feet of black RG-58 coax cable for mounting, and backs the antenna with a five-year limited warranty.
