Furuno has continued to evolve its NavNet series of integrated electronics by offering many models in a “black box” configuration, including 1823C, 1833C, 1933C, 1943C and 1953C radar/chart plotters. The black box models have virtually identical specifications and features of the 10.4″ model equivalent, including the choice of C-MAP NT+ or Navionics Classic cartography, and come with a compact, user-friendly keypad. The chart plotters store up to 8,000 points for ship’s track and marks, 1,000 waypoints and 200 planned routes with up to 35 waypoints per route. The chart plotter can be displayed in full screen, split-screen with the radar output, or with a radar overlay. The NavNet radars come with Electronic Bear Line, Electronic Variable Range Marker, Echo Trails, Guard Zone Alarm and many more standard features. The NavNet series of Ethernet networked products are designed to suit many types of vessel and gives users the flexibility to create single or multistation configurations to suit their needs. The black box models allow users to use any VGA display to view the output of the NavNet system and suggested retail prices for the NavNet black box components start at $3,895.
