Using a “bike chain” joint system, Strike Pro America has created highly realistic-looking swimbaits in the new Flex Phantom and the redesigned Flex X. The chain connects multiple segments of the hard-plastic lures, allowing them to snake through the water with a pronounced wiggle. The Phantom, which resembles a croaker or a baby bass, also comes with an internal flasher that reflects light and an internal ball-bearing chamber that produces a sonic rattle. Its single Owner treble hook attaches at the belly; its head features a substantial lip that allows it to swim below the surface. The X resembles a minnow and comes with two VMC treble hooks – one at the tail and one along the belly. Both baits come in multiple sizes, from 3 1/2 to 6 3/4 inches, and in popular colors.
