One of the coolest kayaks on the market has been completely redesigned for 2009, offering fly-fishers affordable access to the water - with no gasoline required.

Freedom Hawk Kayaks have generated buzz with fly-fishers over the past couple years because of a uniquely designed hull that allows anglers to stand and cast with relative ease - something that cannot be said of most kayaks. The company's outrigger system is easy to deploy and creates a solid, stable base for comfortable, all-day casting.

The boat's overall length is 13 feet. 10 inches, and it checks in at a reasonable 79 pounds.  A new floor system offers enhanced foot traction, and additional scuppers have been added for a drier ride. With a high-back seat, casting yoke, rod holders, anchor boom and plenty of dry storage, the Freedom Hawk offers the discriminating fly-fisher everything he wants. The company even offers an optional push pole. MSRP is $1,695. www.freedomhawkkayaks.com
