ACR ResQLink review

ACR Electronics’ new ResQLink lays claim to being the smallest personal locator beacon in the world. Although initially designed for land use, PLBs have increasingly claimed a valid share of the marine rescue-equipment market, as they can accompany every person on board and are not dependent on registration to a vessel. As well as doing duty as a rescue and man-overboard signaling device, the ResQLink is compatible with ACR’s 406link.com website, which offers a subscription service allowing the unit to function as an I’m OK e-mail or text-message transmitter. $325; www.acrelectronics.com
