The 40HSD and the 50HSD both feature Daiwa’s Super Drag system, which brings 10 Teflon/graphite composite and stainless-steel discs to bear when it comes time to put the brakes on big fish. Other features include 2 sealed stainless-steel ball bearings; one-piece, anodized-aluminum frame; machine-cut bronze and stainless-steel gears; anodized-aluminum spool and sideplates; and a loud, reliable clicker.
