Game, Set, Sinker

st_tip6_220x222.gif

Large egg sinkers are great for catching fish, but they beat up my rod when I rig up early and we run in the chop. To protect my rod, I cut halfway through a tennis ball with a serrated knife. I give the ball a squeeze to open the newly made “pocket” and then slip the ball around the egg sinker. The soft, fuzzy ball protects my rod, and I’m all rigged up when I reach the grounds.
