The eight Regional Fishery Management Councils and the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) are co-sponsoring a first-of-its-kind fisheries-management conference in Washington, DC, in November. The conference, titled Managing Our Nation’s Marine Fisheries – Past, Present and Future, is open to the public and aims to educate the public and media on the fishery management process and current management research initiatives.
