SWS reader Ken Bush took this fish pic off Baja, Mexico. A few scientists told us “only one person in the world” could identify the fish-Dr. Tomio Iwamoto, of the California Academy of Sciences. Here’s what Dr. Iwamoto said: That’s a Pacific grenadier (Coryphaenoides acrolepis) found from Mexico to Alaska in water as deep as 6,500 feet. They taste good, but there’s not much meet.
