A Clean Break

A denture-brightening tablet is my trick to sink a fly-lined bait in a hurry. First, I cut a piece of iron rebar (one inch of length generally equals one ounce). Next, I drill a 1/4-inch hole into the denture tablet and connect it to my fishing line with a rubber band by way of a loop-to-loop connection. I fasten the rebar to the denture tablet by twisting a strand of wire. The tablet slowly dissolves in the water, releasing the rebar and putting my weightless line deep in the strike zone.
