Cheeca Lodge Presidential Sailfish Tournament relocated

Tournament will return to resort in 2010

Cheeca Lodge & Spa’s annual Presidential Sailfish Tournament, scheduled to be held at the resort January 15-17, has been moved to Marker 88 restaurant.

Due to a fire in the resort’s main building on New Year’s Eve, Cheeca Lodge & Spa will not be able to serve as the main venue for the event which attracts anglers from around the country. This year, the relocated tournament will be known as the Islamorada Presidential Sailfish Tournament. Cheeca Lodge will be back in the game next year with a spectacular event for the 20th annual tournament scheduled for January 21-23, 2010.

Participants already registered for this year’s tournament can receive more information by contacting Tournament Director Liz Hill at (305) 451-5094. Information on Gold Cup standings and the Islamorada Presidential Sailfish Tournament can be obtained by contacting Diane Harbough at (305) 852-2102 or [email protected].
