Spanking new from GrandSLAM is the Silver Shadow, a 17-foot skiff designed for shallow-water fishing. Although the Silver Shadow will move along nicely with the newer, lighter 50-hp two-strokes, it is rated for power up to 100 hp to accommodate the new four-stoke outboards. Standard equipment includes an ergonomically designed easy-step poling platform; 24-gallon illuminated live well with high-speed pickup and air-injection system; under-gunwale storage for up to 12 rods; large dry-storage lockers; a center- or side-mount console with locking door and internal switch panel with circuit breakers; retractable pushpole holders; hydraulic steering and trim tabs; flush-mount pop-up cleats and lights, and a long list of options.
