To keep your anchor chain from making noise and scratching your boat, cover it with old inner tubes from bicycle tires. Just remove the valve stem, cut the tube and slide it over the chain. Use lube if the tube doesn’t go on easily. You can punch some holes in the tube to prevent sand and mud from getting trapped inside.
