Bertram Yachts will celebrate its 40thanniversary in the year 2000. To commemorate the special occasion,Bertram christened three new boat lines (39, 45 and 51) at theFt. Lauderdale Boat Show in October.
Since its debut at a1960 powerboat race, Bertram has been hailed as one of the world’spremier builders of sport fishing boats, including the now-legendaryBertram 31. Launched in 1961 at the New York Boat Show, some 1,86031s were built before the molds were retired 16 years later. The31 is still seen fishing throughout the world.
