The Recreational Fishing Alliance, along with the National Marine Manufacturers Association and recreational fishing associations from Rhode Island to Maryland, has petitioned the National Marine Fisheries Service, Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council, and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission to allocate 50 percent of the summer flounder allocation to the recreational fishing sector.
