Anchor Lite

st_tip6_220x258.jpg

When I beach my boat, I like to run an anchor off both the bow and stern. But who has room for two steel anchors? That’s why I made an effective and inexpensive anchor out of 41¿¿2-inch-diameter PVC pipe. Take an 18-inch-long section and saw one end at an angle so the top half is about six inches shorter than the bottom. Then bolt a bracket to the top to attach a shackle and rode. It weighs nothing, but it holds like a champ in the sand.
