The AFTCO Tag/Flag Tournament will recognize swordfish that are tagged and released. Anglers who tag and release three swordfish in the Atlantic between November 1 and October 31 will be recognized. Captains must tag and release five broadbills to achieve recognition. By adding swordfish to the tournament, the tournament managers hope that such honors will encourage others to participate in tag and release, as well as help further our scientific understanding of the species.
