Shimano’s new Tallus rods include models designed to cover specialty situations from live-bait king mackerel fishing to wire-line trolling for stripers to bottom bouncing for grouper and halibut. With graphite-composite blanks and components from Fuji, AFTCO and Pacific Bay, the Tallus rods are available in tapers and actions designed for East and West Coast situations. Offered in 6′ 6″ and 7′ lengths, the Tallus series includes 20 conventional models rated from 10 to 50 lb. test, and 10 spinning models rated for 8 to 30 lb. test.
