Presenting Barry Gibson
Barry is the editor of the Salt Water Sportsman Magazine and has been with the magazine for 25 years. Having grown up fishing the waters here along the North Shore, he began a charter fishing operation in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, in 1971. Specializing in bottom fish, tuna, sharks and bluefish, and as the state’s senior skipper, he now guides exclusively for striped bass. He served nine years on the New England Fishery Management Council and remains active in fishery issues as an advocate for recreational anglers.
Barry’s talk will be on “Stripers, Blues and Bottom Fish” with lots of pictures from 2001 fishing season as well as rigs, tackle, rods & reels, etc. for a show-and-tell Q & A session following the show.
The doors will be opened at 9:00 am for coffee and there will be a plug making demonstration by Tim Brooks. His show will be from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. We will have loads of special raffle items after the show as well as a door prize drawing. Tickets will be pre-sold and will also be available at the door.
