The next-gen PLB has typical positional accuracy of 62 meters.
Salt Water Sportsman

McMurdo’s new Fast Find 220 Personal Locator Beacon is the next-generation 406 MHz GPS emergency beacon, enabling a typical positional accuracy of +/- 62 meters. The 220 benefits from new styling, including reflective detailing for improved visibility in low light, a six-year battery-storage life and a float pouch included as standard. The Fast Find 220 provides a direct method of alerting the search-and-rescue authorities where no other forms of communication are available, using the 406 MHz search-and-rescue satellite-communication system, COSPAS/SARSAT. As well as sending out a distress signal by satellite, the 220 also transmits a 121.5 MHz homing signal. Waterproof to 30 feet, the 220 will transmit continuously for a minimum of 24 hours at 5 watts output. The beacon weighs a little more than 5 ounces, and features a LED flashlight to assist with rescues at night or during limited visibility.

Price: $299
