Terry Rooney of Wall, N.J. was deep trolling a bunker when he thought it had snagged bottom and asked his five-year-old daughter Amber to reel in. She told her father she thought there was a fish on, and she turned out to be right. Her 49-pounder was weighed at Fishermen's Den in Belmar, and may be submitted for an IGFA Small Fry record. Amber fishes with her father regularly from his 14-foot Baby Blue, and has caught lots of stripers that she almost invariably tags and releases.
