The innovative design makes knots virtually obsolete.

For anglers who’d rather spend their time fishing instead of adjusting the anchor rode, Slide Anchor has introduced the Danik Hook. The innovative design makes knots virtually obsolete. In order to anchor, boaters fix one end of the line to the anchor and slide the other through the snap hook, which is attached to the boat. All that’s left for the angler to do is hold the lever down to allow the line to slide through the Danik Hook and then release it, locking the line in place. The device has been tested to hold up to 8,000 pounds, even in rough conditions. The Danik Hook is constructed from marine-grade 304 stainless steel, featuring a custom bead blast finish andaccommodates 38- to 58-inch-diameter lines. Starting at $39.95; www.slideanchor.com
