Furuno GP37 GPS

furuno gp37

The new GP37 from Furuno provides accurate positioning by combining a 12-parallel-channel GPS receiver with WAAS technology and differential GPS correction. With a position fix of one to three meters, the GP37 uses a sensitive combined GPS/H-Field DGPS "Loop" antenna protected by a durable, waterproof housing. The unit has enough memory for 999 waypoints, 50 routes and 1,000 points for ship's track, all accessible through one-touch controls and a 4.5" high-contrast, sunlight-viewable display. An automatic "best fix" mode determines whether GPS, DGPS or WAAS is selected, based on signal availability. Other features include one-touch man-overboard, arrival and anchor-watch alarms, as well as plotter, steering and customizable viewing modes. The GP37 has a suggested retail price of $695. Furuno; Camas, WA; (360) 834-9300; www.furuno.com.
