Charles Industries gave its new marine AC power kit the "On-the-Go" moniker because it is an all-in-one starter kit that is simple enough for a boat owner to install himself. The kit includes a 1,000-watt Tru-Sinewave inverter, a waterproof GFCI outlet and a remote display-and-control panel, plus cables and hardware to connect it to the electrical system on the boat. Components are made with corrosion-resistant materials and the kit is approved for many AC appliances, including televisions and coffee makers. The kit sells for $999.99.
