Smith Optics introduces the Backdrop and Touchstone lines, which feature Polarchromic Ignitor lenses and Evolve frames. The frames are made with castor-based resin, a nylon alternative that is not petrochemically based. The Ignitor lenses are excellent for fishing the flats. They highlight the seafloor, enhancing contrast and color. Great for varying light conditions, these lenses have a visible-light transmission range of 15 to 30 percent. Backed by a lifetime warranty, the sunglasses feature stainless Italian spring hinges and hydrophilic Megol temple and nose pads. They come with a bamboo-fiber cleaning cloth and a storage bag.
