Running and Fishing
The 17 has a stepped V-pad hull, a unique characteristic for a smaller boats. Hulls of this design allow the boat to plane quicker, run faster and ride comfortably. The standard rigged skiff runs 40 mph with a 70 hp motor and two adults. To achieve a smooth ride, the level-planing hull makes use of the bow entry, without the need for trim tabs. From a dead start to wide-open, the boat needs only the motor trim to adjust the ride attitude. Trim tabs are necessary for side-to-side weight-loading adjustments only. Anglers will enjoy moving from spot to spot and staying dry in most conditions, thanks to submerged reverse chines. Adding to the stealth factor, Bohemian incorporated SeaDek under all of the hatch lids, ensuring a quiet deck, as well as providing true dry storage.

Design and Construction
The construction of the Bohemian 17 features a strong vacuum-bagged Kevlar/Eglass laminate schedule, unidirectional carbon-fiber taping for strength and stiffness, and a pure vinyl-ester resin throughout. All of the glass is hand-laid and meticulously inspected all the way through the building process. For added strength and rigidity, Bohemian builders integrate Corecell structural foam, and the three-piece construction is completely bonded together, yielding a sturdy skiff built to last season after season.

Epoxy-coated fuel tanks surrounded by high-density foam and encased in glass provide owners lifetime service. Notable standard features include carbon-fiber-dipped breaker switch panels with fiber-optic backlighting and Uflex tilt hydraulic steering, which comes on all console models.

The skiff has a huge one-level forward storage compartment, affording ample space for gear, and a total of 10 under-gunwale rod tubes, guaranteeing fishermen can be prepared for all types of situations. Innovative floor storage in the cockpit allows anglers to separate wet wading boots, cast nets and anchors from dry tackle in the forward compartment. In addition, the rear deck has two large storage compartments that open to the inner hull.
